And the ginger creams, the iced ginger cookies that I always claim I am making for brother, that are like a long-lost recipe of our grandmother's, came out a little flat, thus upping the icing-to-cookie ratio - I used the whole batch of icing; I always have had leftovers to turn into hard sauce other years - which may also please my sugar loving niece.
