Parsnip soup & this year's pumpkin

Monday night I made parsnip soup, so I didn't carve my pumpkin, and last night I had yoga and a hair appointment, so I didn't do it last night either. On the way home today, Halloween, Mark teasingly asked if I was just going to simply put the pumpkin out on the stoop, or still carve it, 'cuz, "all the kids will be gone by the time you get it carved".




It was on the steps at 5:22, before it was even dark, possibly not my best, but a cheerful fellow, with fangs.

He can even look scarey if photographed accordingly - I am now waiting for trick or treaters - we've actually had 7 so far.
