Sunday breakfast/brunch

We had beignets & bacon & blueberry pancakes for brunch today - while holed up in aircon for one of the hottest days of the year. But I did go out for a walk/jog between 7:00 and 8:00, before it got quite so hot, so I guess I am not being too much of a weather wimp, tho I did decline to walk down for a cup of (iced) coffee at starbucks at 2:30. There're at least a dozen beignets left (they're from the mix I brough back for Cafe Du Monde) so I guess I will have to do what everyone does with the leftovers - take them to work on Monday.

I did a typical Deb thing - I invited people over to eat on a morning after I had returned to town late the night before - but it's satisfying to limit the menu to what is on hand, no shopping allowed.
